Explanation/Summary:
As
students enter the classroom, they will have a question on a table with a
scale. To answer the question, they will take a small object (any type of
manipulative that the teacher chooses) and place it in the side of the scale
that corresponds to their answer. For instance, if the question is “do you have
a pet?” then if the student does have a pet, he would put the object in the
side of the scale labeled “yes.” Then, after every student has done the
activity, the teacher will discuss the data with the class.
