Collecting data and comparing data, counting, reading questions and comprehending questions, fine motor skills to attach clips

Goal:
Comparing numbers of objects

Materials Needed:
1.      Plastic Chains
2.      Question Cards
3.      “Yes” and “No” Cards
4.      Clips (one for each student)

Explanation/Summary:
There will be a question posted between two chain links and one chain will be for the response “yes” and one for the response “no.” Students will come up to the question when they enter the classroom and then attach a clip to one of the links in the chain to show their response. At the end of morning work, we will count the data as a class and compare the two responses to see which answer had the most clips attached.
