Goal:
Providing
students with practice adding coins.
Materials Needed:
- Pennies, Nickels, Dimes,
and Quarters
- Coin Caterpillar sheet
- Glue
- Markers
Explanation/Summary:
Students will
be given pennies, nickels, dimes, and quarters. They will line them up as a
caterpillar and then add how much the amount is worth. Each student will have a
different amount and a different length of their caterpillar to show that money
can be shown many different ways.
