Targeted Needs of Student:
Adding numbers 1 – 10, representing a math problem in various ways, starting to write equations for numbers, solving word problems

Goal:
Providing students with many ways to practice adding and subtracting numbers in different ways.

Materials Needed:


  1. Worksheet
  2. Writing utensils




Explanation/Summary:
Students will be given this worksheet and they will first read the word problem and then represent the problem in various ways such as sketching the problem, showing it on ten frames, using a number path or number line, and making the equation. This is a bit different because of the Bonus opportunity which shows a bit of real life applications about the worth of each shot in the basketball game.
