Individually students will create an idea for a resort or hotel. They will outfit all of the rooms with all of the necessary item such as beds and lamps. Then they will figure out how many of each object they need and then find out how much money they need (no decimals involved for younger ages) and then for older grades they can find exact amounts (using decimals). This teaches them to figure out how to apply these math skills using problem solving skils.
