Initials Perimeter and Area

Targeted Needs of Student:
Reviewing finding area and perimeter, working with unusual shapes, counting, adding, subtracting, multiplying

Goal:
Providing students with practice finding area and perimeter of uncommon shapes

Materials Needed:


1.      Grid paper
2.      Coloring utensils



Explanation/Summary:
Students will write the initials of their first and last names on a piece of grid paper and then they will shade the amount of squares that they used. They will next find the perimeter of each letter and then the area of each letter.
