CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.3.OA.C.7: Fluently multiply and divide within 100, using strategies such as the relationship between multiplication and division (e.g., knowing that 8 × 5 = 40, one knows 40 ÷ 5 = 8) or properties of operations. By the end of Grade 3, know from memory all products of two one-digit numbers.

Targeted Needs of Student:

Using multiplication and division to make numbers, understanding relation between multiplication and division,

Goal:

Connecting students understanding of nature to comparing objects.

Materials Needed:

1. Post it notes
2. Page Protector
3. Template on Paper
4. Scratch paper

Explanation/Summary:

Students will be given the template in a page protector with 9 post it notes in the template with a number from 1- 10 in each. There will also be another number on a post it on the bottom which is the target number. Students need to hit the target number using three numbers in a row, column, or diagonal using addition, subtraction, multiplication, and/or division.
