Targeted Needs of Student:

Finding the unknown number, working with addition and subtraction equations, making whole numbers out of two numbers, using manipulatives to represent equations

Goal:

To provide students with practice finding the unknown number in an equation

Materials Needed:

1.      Worksheets for each student

2.      Manipulatives to help with adding

Explanation/Summary:

The teacher will use this worksheet to work on unknown numbers in addition and subtraction problems. Students will have to look at the whole number and determine which number added to another number (That is given) will make the whole number. Students could use manipulatives to show this such as unifix cubes.
